Another long pose at DigiPen, but only for 2 hours this time. It seems I’m the only one that requests the long poses on Monday. Not like we’ll get a chance for them next semester.
Another 3 hours life drawing. Dat is one sexy elbow. Work progress is included.
Fixed a lot of anatomy issues I was having and brought a lot of tone down around the edges. It is nearing the final. Yesssss my pretty, yesss.
Progress on my circus piece. I’ve loosely added the stripes to her costume, and reworked a lot of the anatomy again. Collar is rendered and all I have left to do is the background and some man fixes. I still have about 5-7 hours left on this piece to go. I also had lots of help from momo with lighting, colors and cropping. She is wonderful.
A 3 hour pose, tried to do color, but ended up going to black and white after worrying about the colors too much.
Just a late night sketch from concept to finish. Used some tips from the lovely momo for lighting tips. If you want to read it: http://loadsamomo.tumblr.com/post/64082768855/wow-hi-hello-i-just-wanted-to-say-your-art-is
This one is still in progress, but my love for circus is showing. I’ve had to go through several anatomy changes, and I still have a long way to go on this piece. I’ve spent about 24 hours on this piece so far, and I’m guessing I’m going to need to double that, as her torso still doesn’t sit right. I have the man torso better, but I might also need composition changes. I do no understand this typing thing
The entirety of my process work from early concept to final piece. Interesting note the only thing more than 50% grey in the final piece are the snowflakes. It took about 16 hours of rendering to get to the final from the picture before it. I wasn’t tracking my hours before that, but I did probably 10 hours the first week and 8 the rest of the weeks, and this took 5 weeks so in total I estimate this took me… 50 hours in total. I should get faster… And great thanks to momo for the best advice on folds.
